You are welcome to come and spend the day with me, Katy McIntyre Brown, gaining insight into how to paint plants and flowers, and sharing ideas on how to improve your painting skills. We’ll have a choice of flowers cut from the garden along with fruit and vegetables to work with, in a relaxed and jovial atmosphere.

I believe that everyone has the ability to paint a picture they are proud of and can share with you over 20 years of skills and knowledge, in both painting and fabric design.

The workshop starts at 10.00 with tea, cake, and a warm up sketch. I’ll then guide you through the morning in painting a botanical illustration from life. I can guide you in oils, acrylics and watercolours and can answer most questions and queries that you might have.

All levels of experience very welcome, from beginners, to occasional painters and returning artists.

The morning is rounded off with lunch and coffee in my kitchen, to finish around 1.00-1.30 pm.

And finally, if you are happy with your painting, I can turn it into a personalised, signed linen tea towel for you.  A great memento and present for friends and family.
