Katy regularly hosts creative workshops and art safaris in her studio or hosted in safari tents and traditional barns.

Each workshop is small and relaxed and all ages and levels of experience are welcome. The botanical painting morning is a chance to spend time with friends (or some me time), learn new ways of looking at plants and flowers, and to gain new skills when enjoying and painting the world around you. The lampshade workshop is the perfect opportunity to have some down time and create exactly what you’ve been imaging for that bedside table or reading chair.

Lunch is provided and Katy can even put your designs onto a linen tea towel if you’re particularly proud of your creation.

Would you like to make your own lampshade?

A few friends have asked me to show them how to make one of the pretty lampshades I post on my Instagram page, Katy Botanicals. Well I’d love to show you! I’m hosting a one off morning to make up a conical lampshade, either for you to paint, or to cover with your chosen fabric. You can bring a fabric of your own, or choose from one of my pretty cotton florals.

The morning will start with coffee, and I’ll guide you through putting your lampshade together with fabric, or painting your own simple design onto parchment provided for you.

The workshop will be rounded off with a lunch and coffee.

The course with materials and lunch included costs £65.00 per head and there are only a few of spaces, so do sign up soon. x
